After helping Yo La Tengo promote “Nothing To Hide” in Ohio, Times New Viking are ready to “Move To California” to possibly “have a better time.” The hazy, stoned, let’s-get-out-of-this-town anthem comes from their forthcoming Born Again Revisted. At almost three minutes, it’s one of the longest tracks on the 15-track collection. After all that deliberation, though, you still get the sense the protagonists will never really relocate to “The Golden State.”

“Move To California” is out 9/8. The four song 7″ includes two album tracks (“Move To California” and “City On Drugs”) along with two songs (“Pentagram” and “Teen Spirit In Hell”) from the band’s Stay Awake Revisited cassette.

Born Again Revisited is out 9/22 via Matador. If you pre-order it, you get the 7″ and some other things.
