Weezer’s frontman says the hit song was an attempt to ape Velvet Underground that turned into “almost a complete rip-off” of “Welcome Home (Sanitarium).” Wonder if Lars will sue. More raditude (will Rivers work with Matt Sharp again?) at RS.

Yea…I can see that.
Listening to “Welcome Home” right now…yeah, I can hear it.
rivers cuomo has sucked almost this whole decade.
Weezer doesn’t care for your raditude, landon.
they dont sound too much alike expect for some of the usage of the same chords but what band hasnt done that now in days? theres so much music around, bands can use the same chords together as another song might from another band. anyways, both of their songs equally suck, I dont see why lars would sue them for a song that kinda sounds like their shitty song
Agreed. A lot of bands even do it to themselves. For example…. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aapr4SbWLF8
