When we previewed the Battles multi-instrumentalist’s cartoony “Uffe’s Woodshop” last month, we said If felt very much like the part of something bigger and looked forward to hearing Central Market develop. Tyondai Braxton’s vision comes more into focus via this ten-minute album centerpiece, a schizophrenic orchestral piece with plenty of kazoo and plenty of any other instrument you can name. The composer says the album was influenced by Stravinsky, Eno, and Swans. And maybe Donald Duck?
Central Market is out 9/15 via Warp.

Reminds me of ZS. Cool shit.
