It’s worth harping on the fact that when Field Music stopped through for a Progress Report regarding their anticipated third album Measure, David Brewis said he’d been “rediscovering [his] teenage love of the Black Crowes’ third album.” Nice symmetry there. In this video for the collection’s second track “Them That Do Nothing” they don’t especially evoke the Crowes. But like the American roots rockers, Field Music features two brothers, the guys this clip features heavily. Maybe the familial bond is what he was talking about? (Regardless, what would the British version of Amorica look like?)

Measure is out 2/16 via Memphis Industries/Revolver.

I love their flair for melody … great songwriting! IMHO of course.

Love this song and looking forward to their new record!

  2. Hmm, not sure I can see why Glinner is so into Field Music. All sounds a little Paul Mccartney to me. I seem to remember Glinner disliking Paul McCartney
