Come on New Yorker…The article I wanted to read about “the scene” never came…
Awkwarddd.
What I would give to see a video of this.
According to the article, both Vampire Weekend and DeLonge turned up to the meeting with documentary crews, so there is footage from all sorts of angles of this awkwardness.
In which case, I hope “Batanglij started giggling, and DeLonge turned and looked at him” is as good on tape as it is in my head.
Whatever happened to that proposed METAL section that Stereogum mentioned a couple of months ago. Fucking liars.
Hey Whiskers, we told the truth: http://stereogum.com/archives/cat_haunting_the_chapel.html
Enjoy!
Yeah, sorry, it is New Yorker… Missed the first paragraph, hehe.
Sort of missed the point of all this… it was a main section of the article for the sole reason of making VW look cool and make Delonge look lame? Great journalism, totally necessary.
