The Chicago-based live-electronic trio Future Rock use loops, synths, and an electronic drum set, among other things, when doing their usual thing. Here they slowdown Neon Indian’s “Should Have Taken Acid With You” to a mellower pace (move your glow sticks in slow motion until it picks up), taking it from the bedroom to the late-night club scene with an icier ambiance and robo vocal processing. Psychic Chasms, definitely.
The remix showed up on a Future Rock podcast. Find out more at MySpace. Also a note for Neon Indianheads: He’ll be on Fallon tomorrow night.

Bad 8-bit Nintendo music. Should have not rmx’d this song. Maybe I’m bitter because Neon canceled on their show tomorrow, either way – this is pretty bad.
Hmmm, I like it. It’s a nice partner to the original, which is better, but regardless this is not bad at all.
@ Neon indian canceled on us too…

I dig the new beat, but man his voice sounds so awesome without having to go all T-pain on it.
