Hilly Eye have a beautiful new video for “Double Dutch,” off their January 2013 LP Reasons To Live. It’s a quick-paced high-contrast video that plays with highs and lows in a similar fashion to the duo’s tight, intricate songwriting. The video, directed by Gabriela Ilijeska, presents “a multifaceted correlation between Hilly Eye’s jagged audio and Ilijeska’s raw visual style,” says the artists. “Inspired by early video art experiments, the video engages in a progressive and escalating layering of complex imagery to capture the anxiety of a broken love.” Check it out below.
