The Bloggers Heart The Killers

Ultragrrrl forced Productshop, Lindsayism, and me to listen to the whole Killers album last night. We all loved it. One of us may have even vomited (out of joy) after watching their music video. I met Tim from London who promised to read this blog today. Hi Tim.

Someone send Stereogum the Killers CD.

Also, I still agree with Jason that Jet are the Candlebox of the garage scene.

Im not quite sure what you mean by your Jet/Candlebox comment, but seeing as I am the greatest proponent of the 90s revival, I am sincerely hoping it is NOT a slanderous remark in re Candlebox. Lord knows "You" and the 329483209842390 other hits off their one album are some kick ass jams. Whereas Jet suck goat teats.

Ha! Jet are a disgrace to Australia... I almost had a heart attack when I found out that their song was voted number one here by our generally great radio station, tripple J. See my irate post:

Listening to "Mr Brightside"- I felt like I was listening to Robin Zander- yeah, Cheap Trick resurrected but wrapped up in a slightly different package. Sounds cool, I have never hear of The Killers before but now I want to hear more. "mommy's allright, daddy's alright..... they just seem a little wieeeeeeeeeeerd!"
(that is why i like Stereogum- you are always introducing me to cool things- )

newyorkdoll.org posted some Killers tracks a while ago. They were:

Indie Rock N Roll
Somebody Told Me
Coming Out
Jenny

Those don't seem to be on the Mr. Brightside EP (which i haven't heard yet), so I assume those are from the new album?
