Trent ReznorHey, it's Trent Reznor covering Thompson Twins' "Lies."

OK, 18-year-old Trent Reznor.

It was his first band Option 30. More info and tunes at Passenger 86.

Styles change and people experiment with many styles. This photo is rather surreal compared to his modern image but just imagine if some of our old photos came up! I was a complate gother with Cleopatra eyeliner and my Docs.In my Sisters of Mercy, Lords of Acid, Dying Swans, Cure and Rosetta Stone days.I can't imagine showing a photo of that to my students. LOL.

funny shit- but even more entertaining is the cover of Der Kommissar- actually they did good covers as stupid as it sounds now.

Quit Your Day Job: Ungdomskulen

The Bergen trio Ungdomskulen play proggy post punk, mixing chops and hooks with a sense of humor. But they don't sound like Primus. When I was in Norway a couple years ago, "Ungdomskulen" seemed to be on everybody's lips (or...

Premature Evaluation: Beck - Modern Guilt

It's been some time since we learned Modern Guilt, Beck Hansen's eighth album, would be some sort of psych rock minimalist '60s trip with Danger Mouse. Since then, we've gotten a look at the old-school jazz/Blue Note-style cover art and...
