Kleptones Are The New Dangermouse

The Kleptones have embarked on a large-scale mashup project, matching pop and hip-hop samples (and Ferris Bueller dialogue) with cuts from the Queen catalog. The result A Night At The Hip-Hopera has to be heard to be believed. So much awesome.

Download the whole thing at Waxy, and help identify the samples if you can.

Thanks to Ben for the heads up!

Brilliant album. Came across it a couple weeks ago and haven’t stopped listening to it since.

Hey, glad I can help. The primary sample list is complete, but I think people are trying to identify the shorter samples on the wiki:

Have you heard Yoshimi Battles the Hip-Hop Robots? It was the first Kleptomes album, and it's really sick.

Dammit it happened again, after the glory of the Greenskeepers clip 'lotion'(see september 29- 'Greenskeepers Rock') comes the Kleptones. I don't know what kinda radio shows were on before TV but between stereogum and CD like the Kleptones, I am glad as hell I dumped having satellite and cable in favor of DSL. besides, now I have money to buy drinks for people, go out, and be in touch with awesome stuff as it emerges.
