Who's blocking the release of the Grey album again? Because personally I think it's super complimentary to both artists.

I picked up a copy of the album last week in L.A. and I have to say that it is nothing short of brilliant... I was left wondering just how much work was involved in this mash-up... Very cool shit...

the grey album is cool but definitely overrated in these here comments. if you wanna hear more dangermouse, listen to his album with jemini called "ghetto pop life." it was released last year on lex records and has way more replay value than the grey album.

"Who's blocking the release of the Grey album again? Because personally I think it's super complimentary to both artists."

The Beatles' side was against it. Jay-Z encouraged it.

BRILLIANT! I think it was Capitol/EMI, not Apple blocking it, wasn't it? But I hear Michael Jackson stopped the release of the Beasties' "I'm Down" back in the day. I saw Rick Rubin (& Chris Rock!) at a Beatles convention once so I know he's a big Beatles fan. I'm so curious what he thought of the Grey Album. Methinks it's genius. Funny that Danger Mouse used to hang with the Elephant 6 crew in Athens GA (Olivia Tremor Control & friends). Still haven't heard the Jay-Z album!

I meant Capitol/EMI not MICHAEL JACKSON. Since when does an apple replace Michael Jackson? Idiot.
