I almost crapped myself with pride before I remembered that I don't direct music videos, and that's not my name anyway.

That's beautiful. I wonder why she starts it on the 2nd verse? I really hope the audio to this gets released, a'la the Karen O Nike ad song.

Cat Power also did one of those TIAA-CREF commercials where a bunch of different artists did versions of "Somewhere." They used to have it on the TIAA-CREF site somewhere but they only have the currently running commercials now.

Truly great commercial... And great song...

Also, notice that there are the "bars" in almost every single scene. My favorite is the orange juice on the stewardess' tray.

Aww, my aunt works for BBDO Atlanta. I think they've been handling Cingular since the beginning.

Scott, man, you crashed Bisbee's server! The page with the Cingular ad has been removed.

cat power's version of "somewhere" for tiaa-cref is also great. the commercial is up on the ad agency's website: www.modernista.com if you go to the tiaa-cref section and click on tv, it's the 7th out of 12.
next up for her? a cover of j timb's "i'm loving it"? gross.

I just saw a commercial that has a cover of Cat Stevens' "How Can I Tell You" that I'm sure must be by Cat Power. Problem is I can't find a reference to it anywhere. Has anyone else seen it? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills...

Yeah, I saw it and also was not able to find a reference but it must be her. Great song for her to cover.

It is Cat Power, confirmed by De Beers, I spoke to her record label and there are no plans to release it. If you want maybe contact them direct and with enough pressure they may do it. Matador Records. - Song is ' How can I tell you '
