New James Figurine Video - "Apologies"

Stereogum loves the laidback laptop pop of remix addict James Figurine. James AKA Jimmy Tamborello AKA Dntel AKA half the Postal Service has a cute new video for "Apologies" he's letting us share via Stereogum YouTube.

Jimmy tells Stereogum:

"It's by the same guy who did a video for the Figurine song 'IMpossible.' He lives in Germany so I had to videotape myself lip syncing to the song with pieces of black tape attached to my face so he could enter it into the computer."
Sounds annoying. But could've been worse.

Here's a link (MPG) to the Figurine video Jimmy is talking about.

MSTK MSTK MSTK MSTK is out 7/11.

Hey Scott,
So this guy who is half of the Postal Service. Did he used to be in the electro band "Figurine" years ago? I have one of their records and I LOVE it.

Later,
nora

Hmm I guess the guy from Death Cab was what made the Postal Service good. This song is pretty annoying.

apologies is not typical of what jimmy did with figurine. check out the two figurine albums, or the james figurine song 55566688833 from mistake mistake mistake mistake. that's the goods. postal service got old after two days of listening, but i never get sick of some of those figurine songs. hopefully mistakex4 has more songs like 5683.
