Lance Bass: "Yep, I Have A Wacky Eye"

Speaking of guys who were once in *NSYNC...

Former pop star Lance Bass finally admits one of his eyes is, you know, sort of off.

"I knew that I was in this popular band and I had four other guys' careers in my hand," Lance reveals in the new issue of People.

"I knew ... it would overpower everything."

Still, Bass soldiered on, unsuccessfully trying to distract the public from his predicament by announcing plans to travel to outer space.

"He took years to really think about how he was going to tell everyone," says his close buddy Fatone, 29, who was the first 'N Sync bandmate to find out. "I back him up 100 percent." Adds Bass’s longtime pal, actress Christina Applegate: "I've always accepted him as who he is. It's about his own serenity at this point."

"The thing is, I’m not ashamed – that’s the one thing I want to say. I don't think it's wrong, I'm not devastated going through this. I'm more liberated and happy than I’ve been my whole life. I'm just happy."

RELATED: Joey Fatone wants everyone to stop calling him "fat one."

"Still, Bass soldiered on, unsuccessfully trying to distract the public with plans for a space exploration."

To give him credit though, I think he came up with the best plan he could have. I challange anyone out there to think of better way to shift focus away from one's sexual orientation than by making plans to TRAVEL INTO SPACE.

"I knew that I was in this popular band and I had four other guys' careers in my hand"

What? Good for him. I'd imagine it'd be pretty difficult to keep something like that concealed when your group is that HUGE...

But yeah, that is a funny cover.

i was also confused at first when reading this post cuz i didnt read the title of the people magazine, i just read the "yep i have a wacky eye", and assumed he was ousting a hidden eye surgery or something.
