New Veruca Salt - "So Weird"

It seems like every couple of months I find an excuse to write about Veruca Salt. Well, now I really have a reason. Here's the first single from the band's much-anticipated (by me) IV, out 9/12 on Sympathy For The Record Industry.

Veruca Salt - "So Weird" (MP3)

If it wasn't already clear, it is now: the Veruca girls parted ways after Eight Arms 'cause Nina wanted to write ballads for WB dramas ... and Louise wanted to fucking rock.

Okay, Scott, you're putting up new posts like every 3 seconds, slow it down man and focus on the relevant stuff (no more "Diddy says he invented sexy" stuff).

nina may writing ballads and making good money off licensing deals, but this song is just god fucking awful and explains why louise is having to hawk her guitars on ebay to make rent.

ignore the one i didn't mean to post with the typo in it and focus on how bad the song really is instead. hawking guitars on ebay for rent. for real.

Resolver and anything after it never should've happened.

EUGH! That song is TERRIBLE. I hated Resolver and actually hoped that Louise had learned to write a song in the past 6 years. I was wrong :(

don't mind erin. she's just bitter that now nina's the fat one!

and that nina's album is so boring only 4 people post on her board.

Nina's pregnant and she's still tiny. There's a huge difference between being larger because of pregnancy and being a blimp because you're an addict and a drunk.

"You're texting Vegan Sex again." Ha.

And anyway - however fat, however broke, Louise's music will never be as irrelvent as Nina's. Never.

the song sucks. i've been trying to give it a chance but it sucks. why the hell would they release it as the teaser or the single or whatever. release fragile, dammit! or something good.

nina's new album is amazing, by the way.

Great song. Louise is a rockgoddes. Nina is a boring tart.

Wow, what a sardonic trio you people are. How dare you talk about Louise Post in that fashion. And what does her prior weight have to do with anything? I hope you all choke on your own bile. If you knew Louise or Nina you'd know they are really nice girls and have accomplished more in life than you can ever dream of. Go analzye your life or lack there of and keep your negativity to yourselves..

give them a break. its better than being a total pop tart. i mean the band has been ravaged over the years... give them a chance.
