New Gnarls Barkley Video - "Gone Daddy Gone"

The Punk Guy gives us the greatest scoop of the week! The third, and best, video from St. Elsewhere. Gotta say these are the band's creepiest costumes yet.

Check out Krist's interview with director Chris Milk here.

Why make such an exact copy of the Femmes' original?

Millenials across America right now are asking "who the hell are the Violent Femmes?"

Cute video. You should have linked to a YouTube of the original.

Very faithful cover. Which is cool with me.

awful video. pales in comparison to both the videos for "Crazy" and "Smiley Faces".

I'm personally psyched Gano & co. will probably be making more money off of this then all their albums put together. They certainly deserve it.

I am not a fan of this cover. The Violent Femmes did it best..no need to try to duplicate perfection.

Aren't you guys sick and tired of remakes anyway? If Gnarls Barkley is so shit hot, why don't they write their own bitchen material.

feelin' cranky

It's an alright/pretty good video - but I'm so sick of animated videos as of late (essentially everything on MTV2's Subterranean in the past two years) - Of Montreal, Arcade Fire, Dios Malos, e.g.
When will we go back to the days of Jonze, Gondry and Romanek when there was better art direction and better storytelling? (Wait - I actually know the answer to that one.)

I love that song, but who the hell called it a cute video? That creeped me the hell out. As if bugs weren't bad enough already, now I'm going to be freaking out they're watching me change.

Hey Guys,
Thanks for posting the video with a link to my site. I am glad (some of)you liked it. My friend Chris worked really hard on it. Thanks again

I might be ignorant -- can someone clue me in on the "Fight Club" reference...

The sex scene at the near of the video was shot the way the sex scene with Helena Bonham Carter was in Fight Club.

eh...it was okay. it was like: 'lets cover a catchy violent femmes song that the younguns' won't know and cash in. we'll get that guy who does the dyson commercials to direct it.'

God that's hilarious. Have you guys seen the new handheld Dyson, though? That thing looks SCARY.

The song isn't as much a cover as it is a copy of the original...
