I'll Take "The Rapist" For $200, Alex

Here's Hasselhoff's video for "Jump In My Car," in all of its age-inappropriate creepiness. Comedian David Walliams, of the British series Little Britain, put it best by telling Contactmusic, "It looks like he's going to rape the woman in that video."

Another reason not to Hassel the Hoff, ladies. The UK charts have this song at #3, a week after telling Beck's record to bugger off. This means that the UK charts are even more confused than America's. Congrats!

It sounds like the girls sing back to him "I know you're gay".

I'm glad to see everyone else had the same reaction as me, a kind of, "Wtf? Is this a joke?" And he did look like a rapist, for real.

After having the pleasure of seeing this and the "Hooked on a feeling" video it's obvious that he really loves green screen

So if I get the gist of that video, The Hoff stalks around trying to impress young girls with KITT the talking car. Then when a girl finally gets in, The Hoff decides that the girl lives too far away to "take home" (sure, like he's just running the Michael Knight Taxi Service")...so he orders KITT to kill her by catapulting her thirty feet in the air to land on the concrete. Then he leaves, we assume to find another victim -- errrrrrr, girl -- who lives closer.

Young Chick:"I thought you were a nice guy!"
The Hoff: "Well, I ain't!"
Actually, Hoff appear to be some kind of stalker/rapist/murderer. That girl is a really bad judge of character!

By the way, anytime you start to think that Euroculture is so sophisticated in relation to American culture...this is on YouTube. Just press play to get your self-esteem back.

"I'll take 'the rapist' for $200, Alex" is probably one of the funniest moments from the later SNL episodes.. Also, the Hoff is scary AND wtf is Kit doing in that video?

Would be so pimp if Glen Larson sued his ass for unlicensed using of Knight Rider/KITT IPs.

This video, aside from being unbelievably great, is a warning against excessive male plastic surgery.

Hasselhoff comes off looking like a straight Cliff Richard.

It's a good thing no Brits read Stereogum - they'd be awfully embarrassed by this tune making #3 on the charts...

You know he is reaching out to the UK with his UK spec steering wheel!

You know you are in England when....

you are at dinner with three Brits and the question comes up "what is your favorite Pet Shop Boys song". I mean, WTF! With a straight face I said "Don't you forget about me"

Yeah, you may think the UK is cool, but think again.

Here, we broke Jet, the Killers, the Bravery, and paedophillia.

That said, we have better sex- and David Bowie.

We have better sex with David Bowie.

Jealous?

Oh Sarah, go to your room and play with your toys and costumes, forget about the baby.

PS Thanks for Neutral Milk Hotel, got any more?

It's a cover of an old 70s Australian song recorded earlier this year.

The whole country went nuts over the Hoff last year. He came out here for promo visits and the like.

Although it was all meant to be ironic.

Maybe the girls are saying, "I know you're gay" to KITT.

The only reason this song got to number three in the UK chart is because Scott Mills an afternoon DJ at BBC radio 1 thought it would be 'funny' and 'ironic' if it went to number 1 so they had this campaign to make people buy the song....Razor light still beat them to it.

pssst...benderbendingrodriguez, hoff's an american.

also, this video is amazing. i hated it until the last verse when it became my favorite song of the year. and yes, the greenscreen work is not as good as the hooked on a feeling stuff, but he's got an aesthetic...i'll give him that.
