New Matt And Kim Video - "Yea Yeah"

They're from Brooklyn, they're a couple, and apparently they have no idea that there are people starving all over the world! If you wanna sing along, there are one-less-than-twenty "yea"s in the hook -- make sure to count, it gets confusing. Wonder if this is how Andrew WK gets his whites ready for rock? Either way, this video is delicious! Food.

i don't understand why they're trying to be cute. it doesn't work for them. i mean... i want to like them? but i can't support something so half-assed.

Calling this like mates of state is absurd. That's an insult to mates of state. This song blows ass. Can people stop encouraging these hipsters in brooklyn to make shitty bands? I would throw food at them if I went to see them, but I'd be depriving a family who actually need it.

Hate this video, but love some of their songs. 'Silver Tiles' is really good too. Too bad about the video though. Maybe listen to it with your eyes closed...

Like everyone else said, this is very cute.
I like the song but it sounds like something Target would have used for a commercial in 2004...if that made any sense.

This band's fuckin' awesome. Their shows are the most fun. Kim gave me a "thug Life" tatoo once.

They have another video where the chop each others arms off and blood goes everywhere and everyone there ends up dead. So, yeah, these guys are all about cute? Maybe that video will be "hard" enough for you broads.

On another note... the album's great, the shows are great, and the videos are too fun.

Suck-it BOIIII!

matt & kim are the nicest ever.
most fun at a live show.
for you haters, see them live, you'll probably be singing another tune.
love them

they are so nice, their videos are so cute, and the shows are so high energy that i almost forget that the songs suck, the guy can't sing, the lyrics are (yeah yeah), the girl doesn't even try to sing.

if i listen to this without the video i would end up poking out my ear drums their cuteness is the only thing that has put them on all the blogs.

"fun live" seems to mean "suck, but gimmicky" these days.

If they don't have a tuba/marimba/viola/Brian Wilson section COUNT ME OUT, dudes.

I like it. It's cute! It's fun! I can sing along to this. And their live show is super.

since when does "fun live" mean "suck, but gimmicky"?

It seems to me like they are having fun making music they like...doesn't seem too gimmicky to me.

Yes, "fun live" can mean a lot of things, but go to one of their shows and I doubt many would say they suck.

Never heard of them, but I thought it was pretty awesome - nothing cynical or ironic or pretentious, just a fun, bright, catchy-cool song. I'm sold. I like the video a lot, too.

In case most of you are still confused, hating something doesn't make you better than it, or better for it for that matter. It just makes you boring.

They are the fakest people ever. I knew them before they got attention and they let it all go to their head. The smiles are fake and the music is hipster shit they made to move units.
