New America (Featuring Ryan Adams, Ben Kweller and Adam Schlesinger)

We don't expect you to get excited about a new America release. We wouldn't be either, but as we mentioned a few months back, the folk rockers are gearing up to release a double disc produced by Adam Schlesinger and James Iha. Maybe still not enough to get you going, we know. How about hearing the forthcoming Here & Now's "Ride On," where they're joined by DJ Reggie, Ben Kweller, and Schlesinger? Got us curious.

Stream: QT | Real | WMA

Watch the EPK for cameos by the indie kids who were involved in the project, including Matthew Caws and Ira Elliot, whose "Always Love" gets the America cover treatment.

Here & Now is out 1/16 on the always-classy Burgundy Records.

I wonder if Ryan Adams finished his song on this or if it just abruptly ends because of "loud assholes."

stranger things have been known to happen Tony Bennet, Johnny Cash, Santana and other people made huge comebacks so who knows? I'm willing to see what happens.

Heard previews of a few of the new songs. I like what I hear. I'm sold - bring it on!

Indian Jewelry - "Walking On The Water"

We dug Invasive Exotics, Houston crew Indian Jewelry's 2006 long player, but the feedback feels warmer, the structures more assured, expansive, unhinged and less Doors-y/VU-derived on Free Gold!. In fact, even if you didn't like their older work, you might...
