New Spoon - "Don't You Evah" (Live At SXSW)

Although the overarching collection of songs still lacks a title, that hasn't stopped Spoon from divulging the titles of the individual tracks comprised by the band's forthcoming, sixth album, due out 7/10 on Merge. The misspellings (e.g. "Yr," "Evah," "Rhthm" -- and "Ragga," by which we're assuming they mean to say Raga) have been preserved for your unadulterated titular enjoyment.

01 "Don't Make Me A Target"
02 "The Ghost Of You Lingers"
03 "You Got Yr Cherry Bomb"
04 "Don't You Evah"
05 "Rhthm And Soul"
06 "Eddie's Ragga"
07 "The Underdog"
08 "My Little Japanese Cigarette Case"
09 "Finer Feelings"
10 "Black Like Me"
And if you're wondering why we're posting this tracklist eleventy days after it made its initial sweep of the rest of the 'nets, it's 'cause we have a special treat for ya. Take the jump for (what's probably) your first listen of "Don't You Evah," performed live at Stubb's on night last of SXSW. Enjoy!

If the live vid is getting the better of you, here's a list of Spoon's scheduled tour dates so you can plan better your next evening with Britt.

pitchfork just reported that the album is called "ga ga ga ga." love the new song... even if the tracklisting sounds like the lineup on gwen stefani's new album. maybe britt is being ironic...

They are also playing a "Jack Daniels" show at Skullys Music diner in Columbus on 4/19. The last time they came to town, they played for $5 with OK Go. It was awesome.

thanks for the vid. i think the real story is whether or not (as pfork reports) the new spoon album will be entitled "ga ga ga ga ga", or not.

wtf is right. marketing-buzz-hoax or reality?

Keep making your cardigan sweater, bland, snobbish, pomade-enduced OC rock, british daniels. Remember the Wayfarers? The acoustic guitar reigning in indie rock feedback glory? Fun rock instead of serious, well manicured pop crap? No? Thought so.

How the hell is Spoon snobbish? They have played one hell of a quality rock show since like 8 years ago. They played small $5-10 shows and opened for "larger" indie acts until the rest of the world caught up.
