Feist's choreographed clip for "1234" is, obviously, totally and completely endearing. At this point, what it would it take for everyone not to love everything she does? Seriously, that's a question. Maybe a few more of those vertigo-inducing human domino scenes? We're at a loss, Leslie. (And a little dizzy.)

I agree, it is impossible to not love this song. Feist is a total babe on a purely physical level and complete wifey material when one considers that she may be the nicest woman in the music business. I am so sick and tired of reading posts saying that this or that and sucks where the majority of the poster's reasoning is because hipsters like it. That is as close-minded as one could possibly be. You know that that is essentially being the reverse of a hipster. Not liking something because the underground hip crowd likes it.
Also, I can see all those other bands being too artsy and difficult for you, gurple, but how on earth could you take issue with feist/spoon? Both specialize in pretty direct music to me. Elaborate, man!

Ok when i think "hot" i am thinking purely physical. "Desirability" is a completely different matter. Feist is one awesome girl and plenty desirable, but as far as hot goes: not so much.
Anyway, is this the video where there was an open call for volunteers? Because if so, these guys are on their fucking game considering they're by and large not professionals.

This Feist video is about pure joy. Makes me wanna dance and sing around my apt. It may be one take, but, errr, where the hell did the people come from and where did they go at the end. There are some cuts in there that cannot be seen.
As for Miss Chan, she's great too, but if you've been paying attention she has allowed herself to become the court jester (literally) of one of the most assholic human beings on the planet, Karl Lagerfeld.
PS to neanderthals: Feist is gorgeous - GORGEOUS. She just doesn't work it too hard. Amazing face.

Feist has a great voice and is quite cute, but boy is she a shitty guitar player. When I saw her she was setting up loops and each additional loop was more offbeat with more mistakes just compounding into a big mess. And she was mean to the 15 year olds in the crowd when they didn't swoon over her.
She needs to get over herself and stick with a backing band.

I think half of the arguing going on here really shows the underlying sexism that exists within a lot of people. Not that they mean to be sexist or anything, but here is a prime example of how female musicians have it a hell of a lot harder then men to have their music taken seriously, due to the fact that their attractiveness (or lack of) is often commented on just as much, if not more so than their music.
Why does her appearence matter? She's not trying to sell that.
It's her music that matters.
If you want to critisize her music, fair enough. But leave your opinions on her attractiveness at the door. Or go find some trashy celebrity-based magazine site to post on if that's what you're into.

As for all this talk about why indie music is so boring and lacking any real challenge, if you don't like it, why bother coming on here and posting how terrible it is? Music appeals to some and not others, just like any art, really. So why bother coming and trashing an artist people care about? If you don't like her or "hipster" music, fine. Do you guys realize how HARD this video was to shoot......one shot on a digital boom. There must have been a bunch of takes and it had to start from the beginning again, so if one dancer screwed up in the last 30 seconds, the whole 3 and a half minutes had to be reset and started again..........My hats off to the director,choreographer and most of all, the cinematographer! And yeah, Feist is hot to!
