ACL Lineup Gets A Partial Reveal

This morning the Austin Chronicle teased September's Austin City Limits festival lineup, offering up a few of the names signed on for duty via crossword puzzle. In the even that you suck at crosswords (or the more likely case that you don't subscribe to the Austin Chronicle), we've got the 15 acts "announced" this morning, compliments of Austinist. The big names combine two of Coachella and Bonnaroo's best gets: Björk and the White Stripes.

The crossword reveal: The White Stripes
Björk
The Decemberists
Peter Bjorn & John
Rodrigo Y Gabriela
Robert Earl Keen
Joss Stone
Andrew Bird
Rose Hill Drive
Gotan Project
Indigo Girls
Heartless Bastards
Augustana
Beau Soleil
Andy Palacio

Those 15 bands join the following already-confirmed acts:
Kings Of Leon
Raul Malo
Stephen Marley
Ben Kweller
Rev. Horton Heat
Asleep At The Wheel
The Little Ones
Charlie Musselwhite
The Jellydots
Sara Hickman

Tune in later next week for the full lineup, which we're promised includes "much more good stuff" and we're guessing includes Willie Nelson. Head here for tickets.

I didn't realize heartless bastards had become a bigger name. Not that I'm complaining, but the real female fronted Ohio R&R is the tough and lovely.

I also heard Wilco, Blonde Redhead and Arcade Fire are confirmed.I suspect Spoon and Ghostland will also be there.I strongly endorse a Radiohead rumor.

I hope when ACL says more good stuff, they're not thinking more Joss Stone-type shit.
