Decrepit Constituents Of Axl's Chinese Democracy

Still excited for Guns N' Roses' impossibly delayed magnum hocus? Well we've got something that'll clear that up right quick. Rock Daily has pulled together links to four of the five Chinese Democracy tracks to leak this week, each colored in its special shade of meandering and mediocre. Here's your playlist:

"The Blues" (hear at MetalSucks.net)
"I.R.S." (hear at MetalSucks.net)
"There Was A Time" (hear at MetalSucks.net)
"Chinese Democracy" (hear at MetalSucks.net)
So, "Better" (which leaked long ago) is good and "I.R.S." isn't bad (unlike "Chinese Democracy"), but after well over a decade and a production budget that rivals developing nations' GDP ... doesn't it all just seem anticlimactic.

Just seriously bad.
Surprised?

If this thread gets really negative and Axl Rose by chance reads it, it'll probably be another ten years before we see the album in stores. That should give him just enough time to evolve the "new" G n' R from a hopelessly outdated Nu Metal sound to...what...I dunno...Emo, maybe?

This stuff isn't that bad, but man, I've been hearing these tracks for months!!! Can't anyone steal the whole album?

KXXR played "Better" a few months back but then they got served with a cease and desist letter. That song is actually pretty decent.

You know, Axl has probably gotten more media for all of his song leaks and his delays than he would have gotten had he just released the album normally. Suppose he helped things along?

Sounds like Wolfmother's singer is singing TWAT.

These songs are better than your run-of-the-mill rock out there today, but definitely below the lofty expectations one would have for them. I mean, wasn't this album started in the 40's?

sadly the only way axl could get any better is to do coke. tons of coke. that and get back together with slash and whatever other douchebags that show up, starve for a year while living in a shitty apartment, then write the great american rock record.

never gonna happen.

I wouldn't give up my juicebox even now to listen to them.

I would like to think Axl is still relevant, but it doesn't look like it.

Didn't these songs leak last year also? I wouldn't mind seeing GNR come back huge just so Tommy Stinson can make some decent coin for once. But I've never been a huge fan and these songs sure won't change that.

Tommy's reportedly paid a salary of $1 million per year since joining G&R -- so he's paid either way.

I hope it's true.

Axl Rose taking 10 years to put out an album is like your uncle taking 10 hours to take a shit. SHIT OR GET OFF THE POT, AXL!!! He is so self-absorbed that he actually thinks that the world is waiting for his masterpiece and has not passed him by 5 times over. Such a crazy, sad, old, hopeless prick. Plus he was a dick to Eagles of Death Metal, so f#@k that guy. Appetite for Destructions sounds good in a car on 11 though.

GN'R had about 3 good songs back in the day. Appetite is labeled one of the great rock albums ever now, but its shit. 90% of their songs were already unlistenable, terrible. They are the most over-rated rock band of all time with no close competitors. Axl Rose is not some genius in hiding who will shock us all with the greatest album ever. He just knows he'll never produce something that matches the undeserved anticipation people have for whatever the fuck it is he's working on. Nothing to see here, move along...

I like a couple of the tracks. IRS is ok, good with more work. The blues is good, as is chinese demo, as is TWAT. I'm looking forward to the CD. Both this and Velvet Revolver's new one should be good. And let's not attack Mr. Rose. We don't know him.
