Band To Watch: Misha
So much to love about NYC-based duo Misha. The band comprises Ashley Yao and John Chao, a duo with infectious indie tendencies, a mutual love for Crowded House, and a press-ready story: The two grew up together in Taiwan, bumped into each other 15 years later in NYC, began dating, began making sweet music together. And soon they'll release Teardop Sweetheart, an LP of pulling on precious, playskool soul 'n' r&b ("Delovely"), coolly affected electro/disco lazy day gems ("Weatherbees"), chipmunky chillout tracks ("Cruelist Heart"); and some good old-school shimmery-guitar indie pop ("Summersend"). Cue 'em up in the Summertime playlist. Your weekend homework...

I like Crowded House too! Everyone should like them! Their new CD comes out in 24 hours!!!! This Misha stuff is ok. A little boring.

Great band ... very eclectic band. Although some people might conjure remembrance of postal service in this band, they remind me of Kahimi Karie. They have lucid vocals with awesome beats. Summersend although runs at a different but similar universe than the rest of the album. Love this album I hope everyone finds some kind of adoration for it too.
