New Kanye West (Feat. John Mayer) - "Bittersweet"

The buildup to Kanye's Graduation day has included some egomaniacal riffing to the tune of PB&J and some egomaniacal riffing to the tune of Daft Punk, but this album cut sees Mr. West base his higher education on a sample from '70s soulsters Chairmen Of The Board, with the production aid of Jon Brion. The track also features assistance from Johnny Depp John Mayer, whose hook-crooning is much less an asset than his riffing in this track tease a few years ago for MTV. You can have a listen to "Bittersweet" at Hype, but we'd suggest watching the clip and calling it even.

UPDATE: A source tells us this song won't be on Graduation after all. Someone update Wikipedia.

John Mayer? Isn't Chris Martin on this album as well?

Loved the last two Kanye albums, but those are two potentially nauseating cameos.

Mayer's cameo on "Go" from Common's album worked just fine in my opinion.

While that video is awesome, the song is kinda... annoying. That annoyance has nothing to do with John; it's all about that annoying whistle thing. UGH.

Why does John Mayer act like Seth Cohen from The O.C.

Hear that? It's the sound of Kanye West going back to the well. This song was a throwaway from "Late Registration". This entire clip -- which can be heard in audio form on the "Late Registration" mix tape from 2005 -- is like two years old.

And the song? Uh...

This just proves that John Mayer made the wrong career choice and should've been a comedian. It is priceless though!

One time I found a track where John Mayer was doing some beat boxing at one of his concerts. When he does stuff like this, I love it. I just can't listen to his albums because they're so bland.

At least he hasn't shot down the idea of doing some stuff with Tenacious D. Now THAT would be awesome.

John Mayer's really paralyzed by the whole race thing. That or he watches too many dime-a-dozen open mic stand-ups, 'blacks are like this, dog, and whites are so uncool because they're like that.' Boring. He ever met black folk before?

Just because John Mayer said, "Go back and listen to 'Daughters' bitches" makes me think this is not real. Even though it is. Scary...

U guys are such haters....and probably don't know enough about John Mayer or his music to pass any judgment. He is a great musician...if you don't believe me listen to the Bold as Love cover on continuum, he is nice on the guitar...it seems like Kanye realizes it...otherwise why would he put him on his album..silly people
