New UNKLE - War Stories
UK outfit UNKLE recently released the EP Nights Temper (A Prelude To War Stories), which is indeed a prelude to the project's guest-laden third LP War Stories, due out this summer. James Lavelle's called favors from the Cult's Ian Astbury, QOTSA's Josh Homme, Massive Attack's 3D, and Autolux among others to further extend the UNKLE family for the full length, with Autolux and Homme's contributions popping up on Temper. We recommend burning bandwith on both; "9 Persons & Machinery" is expectedly moody and groovy, while Homme's guit shrieks massage "Chemistry"'s synthy strings to roughshod 'n' ballsy climax.
UNKLE - "Chemistry [Feat. Josh Homme]" (MP3)
UNKLE - "9 Persons And Machinery [Feat. Autloux]" (MP3)
War Stories is slated for a 7/9 release in the UK/Europe and 7/24 in North America on James Lavelle's Surrender All label.

The first record is a classic, the second one left me a little luke warm. Let's hope this is a return to form.

Is anyone here over 19? This album is a load of crap. A far and pathetic fall from the founders of Mo'Wax and the major force behind the creation of trip-hop... Sounds like Moby, She Wants Revenge, later era U2, and the worst of Air, all shelped together... Great job, guys.

"the major force behind the creation of trip-hop"...um...you not heard of the Wild Bunch or Massive Attack?
