After spending a few minutes immersing myself in Borat, I gotta say: this is some seriously unfunny shit. Is Borat that limey ponce with the fruity name? He looks like that loser.

Tailor-made for people who still can't over the fact that Everybody Loves Raymond ain't on anymore.

Darwin, you're in the minority on this one. Stay home and watch something you deem to be worthwhile on November 3rd. The rest of us would appreciate it.

The "Born To Be Wild" track is actually by the great gypsy brass band Fanfare Ciocarlia.

It's getting to be a little much with the Borat.

Between the Entertainment Weekly cover stories, the sneaking into the white house, the Kajikastan goverment law suits, the on every MySpace page imaginable, the 'Secret Invite Only Screenings Every Weekend', the bus stop ads that went up five months ago, the neon green bathing suit photos...

It's making me long for the simpler days of Snake On A Plane.

i got to see the movie a few weeks ago at a screening and it is genuinely one of the funniest (and most offensive) movies EVER made. pure genius. absolutely worth all of the hype...

i, like most others here, can't wait for the film, but i think a lot or maybe all the humour is to be found in how other (real) people respond to the fictitious borat. on their own, however, these are some seriously unfunny songs. thanks for posting though.

Before anyone jumps down my throat for what I'm about to say, let me preface it by saying that I think this movie is going to be hilarious.

I just want to throw out an exhortation to people not to form any opnions on the actual Kazakhstan based on this movie. The fact is that Borat's Kazakhstan resembles the real Kazakhstan to about the same extent that a woolly bear caterpillar resembles an actual bear. Which is to say, basically not at all. Even Cohen says that Borat is based off of a Russian doctor he once met. The truth of the matter is that though the US gets to bear the brunt of the mockery (and that's going to be awesome, if the clips I've seen are any indication), this would be just as funny if it were, for example, a made up former Soviet republic instead of Kazakhstan.

So, I understand the concerns that the Kazakh Government has (and it's either Kazakh or Kazakhstani, folks, "Kazakhi" as they say in Kazakh, eshkim aitadi (nobody says). Kazakhstan's trying really hard to get international cred, and this movie is simply counteractive to that when it doesn't have to be to do what it sets out to do.

I like the 1st song and, watching the Borat commercial that's on right now, the movie looks good too. So I'll watch it. The other two songs were not funny, at all.

knew there would be someone who tried to post a too-cool-for-school response like Darwin. you clearly don't know who Borat is.

The thing is, Borat although a fictional character, has to have a degree of credibility when entering interviews. If he simply made up a location then whoever was booking the interview or even the interviewee could call him out on it. With his character barely clinging on to believable he needs all he can get to sell the person.

I saw a pre-screening of the Borat movie on Wednesday night at 7pm. His ice-cream truck from the movie was driving around NYC and handing out free posters and tickets.

    IT WAS INCREDIBLE!!!
