New Devendra Banhart - "Rosa" / "Tonada Yanomaminista"
Devendra's promising two tune-previews from Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon every Friday, so start getting used to your weekly Banhart dose, folks. MySpace will be the repository for said songs, and you can head there now for the simply titled and elegant "Rosa," a cymbal-rolling piano ballad in Portuguese; and "Tonada Yanomaminista," a full-blooded Devendra crooner (try and imagine Banhart with a clean shave, short hair, and a duck's ass -- this is that Banhart's theme song).
Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon is out 9/25 on XL. And because Devendra song titles are always good fun, check the tracklist after the jump.

Based on the tracklist, I'm most curious to hear Shabop Shalom.

Although I prefer the stuff with just him and his guitar, the band track here works better than the ones on the last album, and the piano one is pretty. Promising enough..
