New Van Morrison - Keep It Simple

New tunes from Van The Man's thirty-third studio album can be streamed at Lost Highway's site. We missed the performance in Austin Wednesday night -- Van kept it soulful, but free of cell phones and booze, according to NME. If you dig the bluesy, Celtic shuffle of this Simple stuff, there's even more at BBC Radio 2, along with Q&A ("Nobody knows me," he grumbles to DJ Paul Jones; then they break out the dictionary and define entrainment). To add a bit of our own pipe dreams to the Morrison news, over SXSW weekend, we were thinking ATP/Don't Look Back should try to stage Astral Weeks. Anyhow, happy St. Patrick's Day.

I'm beyond excited about this album. One of the best and most underrated artists of all-time.

Hi Stereogum,

On behalf of Lost Highway Records, many thanks for plugging Van Morrison's SXSW show and new album and for linking to the preview tracks ("That's Entrainment" and "Behind The Ritual") on Lost Highway's web-site at http://www.losthighwayrecords.com .

Up-to-the-minute info on Keep It Simple and Van’s 2008 shows is, of course, also available on www.vanmorrison.com and www.myspace.com/vanmorrison and, for the next few days, your readers can hear Van's exclusive BBC sessions and interview at http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/musicclub/event_vanmorrison.shtml and http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/radio2_aod.shtml?radio2/paul_jones .

Thanks again for your support.
