The Gossip "Listen Up" And Get Naked

Now that the Gossip are all big and famous (in the UK anyway), having only one vid for their hit "Listen Up" just won't do. Beth stayed mostly in the bedroom on the first one, but this time she's dancing on bars and inviting a couple of her gender-bending friends for support. This is what a year and a friendship with Kate Moss will do to you.

If after seeing that, your wildest dreams are to see Beth Ditto nude on the cover of NME ... well, take the jump to see that dreams really do come true.

Ms. Ditto, I get the point, but was that cover really necessary?

it's so much easier for someone that size to be naked on profile. hell, even on a straight up shot bet all she has to do is put an arm across her chest.

look i'm just sayin'. i like cushion. she looks better than would be expected.

i think the cover photo is great. but the rerecorded version of "listen up" is kind of bad. i get that they wanted to speed up the tempo, and that's fine, but the multitracking on her vocals is... not pleasant.

That video went from "sort of awesome" for the first three-fourths of it to "totally fucking awesome" with the disco/Love Shack dancing. And I like the discofied, sped-up Listen Up.

The chick in the video with the mustache, i believe, is Murry Hill. I saw her/him host a burlesque show in Brooklyn.

ooh, I agree with the multi-tracking ... steals her voice's thunder, it's so powerful on it's own. Low budget recording is the way to go with this band.

They should hook up with Jack White and go all analogue.

"Hey, kudos for her posing nude. I wouldn't pose nude ever, and I'm a stick."

I agree.
If you pose naked and you choose to, you must realy like who you are, and the skin you're in.
(ugh random rhyming)

For once a real woman, who I think is ready, willing and able to handle the pleasures of two naked people enjoying each other and for hours and hours. I should be so lucky.
