A Contrast In Video Styles: Kanye Vs. Daft Punk

He's easy to hate on, but every so often Kanye's sample/egomaniacal rant combo is just too good to resist. But Mr. West isn't content just with a solid banger in the Daft Punk-sampling "Stronger"; he wants the appropriation to be full on and complete ... so the Hype Williams-produced vid will feature the robots and, apparently, super-huge subtitles in a language we can't read.

See kids, Kanye "takes videos really seriously." Good thing, too -- he's got his work cut out for him. 'Cause this Daft Punk "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" video is pretty sweet.

the katakana in that screenshot says su-to-so-ga. I'm guessing they intended the "so" to be "n," but then the second slash shouldn't be so high; those characters can easily get confused.

And shouldn't it be su-to-ra-n-ga anyway?

is that the official video? because it was kind of fantastic. at first i thought it was just going to be a pair of hands moving back and forth the entire time, and even that i found hilarious.

I was not expecting to be so impressed by that Daft Hands video. Well worth the while.

No doubt MTV will "premiere" this and then play it as often as paid for by Kanye's record company. News indeed.

Adam- found that hands video on b3ta. Don't know where they got it, but we weren't ripping off anyone else.

I certainly hope Kanye gets nominated for MTV Video of the Year and then doesn't win it so he can storm the stage again and bitch about how his video was far better than all the other nominees.

I just wanna see someone do the hands thing with a long song with lots and lots of lyrics (eg. Love or be loved - BE).......but otherwise, the daft punk thin with the hands is very good.
