Arcade Fire Employ Guerilla Tactics To Woo The Fertile Indie Rock/The Price Is Right Crossover Demo

The real reason Neon Bible debuted at #2 on the Billboard charts? Bob Barker. Check the front row for excited Fire men Richard Reed Parry and Tim Kingsbury, wearing 1-866 and Neon Bible tees, respectively. Richard totally agrees with that girl going $750, but you just know that Michael dude was gonna undercut with a devious $1 bid. Don't know when this was filmed, but we've been dying to give The Price Is Right some love (finally!). On a sadder note, there went our excuse to liveblog Barker's last episode on June 15th. This is the best subliminal advertising I've seen in a long time. Maybe ever, I haven't decided on that one yet.

Win Butler announced at the second L.A. show (Greek Theater 05/30) that Richard and Tim had been to the recording of Price Is Right that morning. They still had their name tags on!

I can't believe it, this is footage of the show my sister and I were on (aired June 7th, taped May 30). My sister, Kelley was even the last contestant called down. We noticed these guys throughout the day but never made the connection. Random. Ha.

I didn't think "The Price Is Right" was that huge with our neighbors to the north. Guess I was wrong about that one, because Richard was WAY excited to be there. If there's one thing Canadians have down to a science, it's viral marketing!
