Legion Of Rock Stars

WFMU points us to Legion Of Rock Stars, for which the rules are simple:

  1. A bunch of people put on noise-canceling headphones
  2. They all listen to the same song and play along
  3. The results are recorded and set to the original music video
  4. Hilarity ensues

Take, for example, the Stones' "Hang Fire"...

More good times with Danzig, Billy Idol, and an "Even Flow" that would make Opera Man blush after the jump.

"Mother"

"Dancing With Myself"

"Even Flow"

Lots more vids here, and if you want Legion Of Rock Stars MP3, head here and may god have mercy on your soul.

for some reason i got the impression that a bunch of people would listen to the song, play air guitar/drums, and then be filmed doing this in a public place. that doesnt really make a lot of sense, and i dont know why i would think that made sense, but it did at the time, and i was disappointed with the videos i found here.

Ok... is the guy that sang "Mother" actually retarded? Because I'd feel bad for laughing if he was.

Otherwise, HA-HA!

YouTube pulled removed all L.R.S. videos for a sharing violation, but we are in the process of reposting them at: http://www.youtube.com/user/fibbochs

I'm in the process of saving them to my hard drive for when they get pulled removed again. Hey, could you prioritize 2 Legit 2 Quit?

Damn, suspended again and I hadn't grabbed them all yet. At least I got 2 Legit 2 Quit in time.
