Live Earth's Greatest Bits
Rather than stay in and watch Al's big day out, we decided to bounce around outside to enjoy the fresh air (or what's left of it). And Gore's right, it was totally hot outside! If you took it in, these wacky collabs won't be news for ya, but maybe they're worth another watch. Like this one, bringing lady Madonna together with Eugene and Serge of Gogol Bordello for "La Isla Bonita." Diggi-diggi-diggi-dhye.

The Police and Mayer's "Message In A Bottle" gets pretty great with Mr. Cain-yay West's appearance at about 2:20 (not that we can freestyle, but is that the worst Kanye rap ever or what?). It's cute that Kanye and John are BFF. And for bonus fun: check out the idiot at 01:22.

Wow. That Kanye clip is pretty hilllllariously bad. Honestly. I have friends who can rap better than that, and they wear pink hot pants. That has nothing to do with it really, but pink hot pants are pretty sweet. Plus, can Kanye say "Uh!" more than he already was please? One would think he was trying to be a walking rap cliche. Oh, wait! He is! GAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Not that you saw this on Bravo's awful coverage, but Kasabian's performance of "Club Foot" in London was fantastic. Other than that, the only things that really grabbed me were Crowded House's "Fall At Your Feet" and the Drum Cafe (? That's what their t-shirts said) in Johannesburg.

Yeah, Kanye was pretty much a waste of space. He needs to go away. John Mayer held his own though, so kudos to him. Must've been a rock'n'roll wet dream for him.
Spinal Tap is still fuckin' brilliant, though. Only they could get members of Metallica, James Blunt, Foo Fighters, Madonna, and the Beastie Boys on-stage together. Too bad the Pumpkins bassist was absent, they could've used a little estrogen-based cock-rock. Speaking of Adam Yauch, though, didn't he look thoroughly disinterested?
