Mick Jagger Remembers He Has A Brother Named Chris, Joins Him Onstage In London

Ever heard of Chris Jagger? Sometimes we forget that iconic rockers are people with families and siblings -- and apparently so do the rockers themselves. It may have taken a couple of decades, but late last month, Mick joined his little bro (aged 59) on stage for a cover of the Stones' "Dead Flowers." Via AP:

Little known musician Chris Jagger had been saying for years that his famous brother Mick would one day join him on stage. When it finally happened, the audience numbered about 40.

...

Mick Jagger, 63, had been visiting his former wife Jerry and their children in nearby Richmond when he slipped into the pub wearing a purple sweater and joined Chris's Atcha! blues band.

The brother-bonding occurred at the Bull's Head, a southwest London pub, and only went down 'cause Chris talked him into it, saying, ""At first he didn't really want to do it, but I said to him: 'You've got a tour coming up. I think you need the practice.'" That Mick, always out of time. Jagger teasing aside, there's something sorta adorable about seeing the brothers singing together, so we'll leave you with the subpar footage and a moment to get sentimental. (Just this once.)

that clip could've been Matt Walsh and Janice from the Muppets... anyway, Chris probably should ride this until he gets to meet Kool Moe Dee's brother.

at least he can now say, "i got (at least) 1 comment on stereogum!"
(those aren't ashlee simpson numbers, but ride the wave, lil jagger)

How is this any different from any Stones song?...

Oh, yeah... I don't recognize this one from a commercial for some lame product/service.

Wow! What a lot of mainly (not all) negative comment. What we call the "tall poppy syndrome".
You people never had the experience of just spontaneously sitting in with another band or group of musicians just for the sheer pleasure or hell of doing it!!!!!!!!!

Chris Jagger's Atcha! stay as icons for Independent Musicians, diametrically opposed what his brother stands for. That's the magic between the brothers and a healing force, because together they are "complete". Instead of bawling Chris out better join his concerts, his great music and wonderful band mates performing with him.
