New Mark Ronson (Feat. Daniel Merriweather) Video - "Stop Me"

Though most artists looking for something to cover are best advised to steer clear of the Smiths songbook, we've always felt Mark Ronson's horny gamble on "Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before" is a winner (turns out Moz and Marr do, too). But this new, international version of the vid for the tune left us with a thorn in our side. What difference does it make? Well, maybe the aquagreen-water animation is, unlovable. Or maybe it's the closeups of Daniel's chin-fuzzed mugging. Stick to the original.

Still think it's one of the more interesting spins on a Smiths tune we've heard, and Mark's Versions remains a go-to pre-party starter. But while we're talking Ronsons, and since sister Samantha is constant tabloid fodder for her bff'ing (and maybe boffing) Lindsay these days, let's relive one of her finest moments...

This vid for "Pull My Hair Out" mysteriously disappeared from the 'net for awhile, but thanks to a benevolent YouTube user it's back. Relive the horror.

Yep, memory serves: still shitty.

Are the women crying aqua tears because they were forced to be in this pointless video?

how is this any worse than a guy carrying around a pair of living shoes in a cage? i actually think this would be the definitive video if not for the admittedly silly cartoon tears.

no matter how much morrissey or marr could ever like this cover, i think that they would be deeply embarassed to see this video. the aqua tears belong in an anime or manga cartoon.

I can't beleive you still think it's a good version. it's terrible. all you have to do is play the original, then play this, then decide is it better. if your answers no, then full stop. it's rubbish.
