New Sia Video - "Buttons"

Sia Kate Isobelle Furler repeatedly braves head and face gear that push her to the brink of asphyxiation and facial derangement to illustrate she's "no good for you" -- and that she's a little crazy ("seeing ghosts" or no). Maybe we're no good for you, too; obviously this has been out for like a week (which is an eon in net time) ... but why didn't you guys tell us about Sia getting silly with pantyhose and condom heads?

"Buttons" comes from the forthcoming LP Some People Have Real Problems, due this year on Astralwerks. And a fun fact: the clip was directed by Kris Moyes, who helmed Architecture In Helsinki's "Heart It Races" clip, and also is brother to Kim Moyes of Aussie electro-rock duo the Presets. Aussie Aussie Aussie!

Stupid fun. Simple dumb gradeschool jokes. Takes guts for her to do that for the sake of our entertainment.

Does get a little boring though.

Apparently irony isn't dead. I can see this appealing to the Youtube masses who will sincerely call it "art" and "groundbreaking". It is funny for a little while. The director should most definitely have a future in viral marketing.

haha, I thought it was funny... despite the low budget, it had good production values - the cuts were perfectly timed, and... well, that's about it.

I was trying to play spot the influences, and I came up with U2- Numb and Radiohead- No Surprises, both videos of one person singing straight into the camera with various manipulations done to their faces.

Also, the song's good.

haha i'm just trying to imagine the thought process behind making this and trying out all the different ways to make her face look stupid. I'm seeing lots of alcohol and laughter.
