New The Apples In Stereo Video - "Same Old Drag"

As you may already know, Target jangler, Stereogum-CMJ-party alum, and sunny pop icon Robert Schneider's been concocting infectious E6 psych since the early '90s. On top of that, he's already released a couple videos (though only one by Elijah Wood) from his Apples' sixth album New Magnetic Wonder. The gang already got D.I.Y. on our asses with a driving 'n' sighing sing-a-long of "Same Old Drag," but from the looks (and hooks) of this new, jumpy Greg Gilpatrick-directed take on the tune, Schneider's hummable post-'60s non-Pythagorean pop hasn't gotten, yup, same old just yet: It's raining pills, singing sock puppets, a spinning Schneider, and sad clowns! Trippy.

New Magnetic Wonder is out on Yep Roc/Simian/Elephant 6. That's a lot of labels! Pick some Apples this fall at the dates below.
