Wiki Trolls Crack RATM82407

The mystery of ratm82407.com revealed. Further proof that you can never leave Wiki stumped.

The website is registered to Live Nation Worldwide, Inc. Live Nation owns Alpine Valley Music Theatre, in East Troy Wisconsin. By turning your PC clock forward to June 11 the website reveals that RATM will be playing a show there when the second countdown ends on August 24, 2007.
Ann Coulter can now rest in peace. If only every Live Nation site operated on Relative PC time. We'd never miss a Guns N' Roses show again!

Yo whatever B, big bands that have tried to route tours through non-Clear Channel/Ticketmaster/Live Nation channels wind up with such a huge headache that it isn't worth the hassle. Should they be playing at state fairs instead?

@ CravinforClavin

No, I don't think they should be playing state fairs at all. I personally don't care, and I think bands should utilize whatever resources they feel are necessary and would be helpful to them without being criticized for doing so or being called sell-outs.

However, I just think it's slightly hypocritical when a band chooses to run their mouths ad nauseum in regards to their anti-coorporate, anti-capitalism views, but then they end up feeding into the system anyway. I guess that's only supposed to apply to us and not them though.

They're explained numerous times why they do that. It gets the message out. Without their use of "corporations" (even though this so-called corporation is as powerful as a mom and pop store), they get the message out to more people. It's a necessary evil and really more of using the system for their own gain, not being hypocritical.

Apples In Stereo Energize Pepsi Rebranding

As we've mentioned in the past (2007), Robert Schneider's not afraid of the graceful sellout. So, no, we're not surprised that he and his E6 cohorts just scored a Pepsi commercial. (Heck, we already knew how much E6-related bands loved...

The New Year - "MMV"

We thought it would be wise (and witty) to start the New Year with the New Year, so this week's Drop finds the post-Bedhead Kadane brothers-fronted Touch & Go quintet offering up "MMV," a suitably thematic track from their excellent...
