i really don’t like these lists and i’ll tell you why. Some albums are just for fun, entertaining listening while some are supposed to be like a journey or another dimension that you can immerse yourself in. When these two different types of music are compared and ranked amongst eachother, it’s kind of like ranking voda with orance juice.
There are only SO many different melodies and many songs have the same chord progressions, just different melodies. It’s bound to happen that two songs are going to sound similar.
This video confuses me alot. It seems like Lily lost alot of her charm and her wit has faded away. She looks like a barbie doll, if you hadn’t told me it was lily allen i’m not sure i would know. As for the song, it’s nice and funny and minimally edgy, but i wished she made it more intersting and showed off her voice more. it gets a little old and this video doesn’t do much for the song.

Whether you like it or not, this is the continuation of kanye’s infinite creativity. It’s because of Kanye West that rap doesn’t have to be about money, bitchez, hoez, and grillz. Kanye knows art, music and style. That’s what’s gonna save rap. Not Soulja boiiiiiiiiiiiii.

i think this sounds pretty fresh in terms of music, but it sounds a bit like Lily is trying to take a political stance on something – and is looking a teensy bit pretentious doing it. Whatever, this is a jam and hopefully not the best song on the new record.
jenny lewis is one of the most talented indiviuals of this generation.
if anyone listens this and isn’t totally swept away by her voice (particularly on the chorus) they probably have a serious hearing condition or are just mostly retarted.

Coldplay’s music is great and original, but they’re grabbing the style of a certain Canadian group that i’m SURE no one’s ever heard of. They write brilliant music, they’re just stuck between Arcade Fire and Radiohead in terms of appearance and stage presence.

Grobian – fuck you. Middle Cyclone is probably the best album that’s been released this year. If you don’t want to recognize that than you’re just too much of a bitter music critic. Go listen to fucking TV On the Radio. Honestly – what DO you like?
