It almost seems like their making fun of them, did anyone else pick up on that? Regardless angels rule, you can stream the entire album off of their myspace. I'm not so much into the obvious throwback songs like this one but i'm glad their moving towards making more straight forward songs just because im curious what will come out of it.
Lower dens and warpaint are the only thing redeeming on this list, everything else is just one man band electro bullshit and chick bands that sound the same. Sometimes I dont know why I keep coming here this site seems to introduce me to maybe one new band a month that I like. What else am I gonna do though... le sigh. :(
That was awesome. Between this and that little record preview that they released online that you could spin around yourself they have had some of the coolest things to promote this album. From the artwork to everything else this whole record is pretty solid.
Of course this is via p4k.. but we would have all been better off without this shitty ass music. Seriously how much safer could you make a song? God forbid you can actually hear any melodies otherwise it would be alot more obvious that this sucks but instead we have to listen to all of his shitty effects and watch this bullshit video of him walking on a beach. This is another perfect example of what everyone was talking about in that gate song. Quit giving assholes like this credibility or losing yours as a music blog for that matter.
This ones good i havnt checked out the others but I will now, btw does anyone know the actual name of the acoustic song on zeitgeist, I think that actually was the name of it and its not just an acoustic version of the track "zeitgeist" on the album.. Just wondering cause im having a hard time finding it, its probably one of the best songs ever written...

The first thing i told everyone after their first album was that their second one was going to be dog shit. I mean they wrote oracular over like a 6 year time period or somethign like that, and since it was so successful i guessed that they would be rushed to put out a follow up and it would sound like the last green day record. That being said I'm glad i'm wrong, this isnt anything amazing but its interesting enough to lmk that there not trying to write a huge mega smash hit pop song and guest on american idol. I hope they do have some heavy synths on the new album, their one of like a handful of bands that I'll give the ok for on the supersonic electronic

Its not that I cant like bands like them because I do like some of their other stuff, but this... is.. a fucking single?.>.... are you kidding me??? I wish some fat ass at their record label would have turned this slop down so they could either a)play the we kept our integrity and sound card and gone w/ another label or b)realize that they made a piece of shit. At least that way I would have had a 50% chance of them realizing what they've done. I would be embarrassed to have written this song, or anything else on contra. I dont get it... when you guys hear this album does it paint this picture in your head that your right along side bono fixing africa??? i'm pretty sure the big feel good choir in horchata was ripped off from any scene in Ernest Goes to Africa where they pan out to show the wild life ernest meets on his zany trip.
I can understand liking their other stuff.... but wtf are any of you actually listening to it now.
