First of all, Black Donnellys dying is sad news indeed. It was the TV equivalent of Arcade Fire – edgy, unorthodox and a thing unto itself. In our little indie (yes I just went there) corner, Arcade Fire are monstrous, but it will be interesting to see what this level of exposure does for them. It is well deserved.
One of my favorite memories, in my life, is when I was so down I could not be consoled and my irreparably gorgeous and ebullient girlfriend threw my Rumors vinyl on my dusty Technics 1200 and forced me to dance around the room with her. It sounds so damned good on vinyl. Any new output can only be awesome.
