So I have only ever seen the Daniel Craig Bond's, and I had to google Moneypenny because I didn't understand why that was a big deal, but I loooved this. Mostly for aesthetic reasons, Craig & Whishaw & the pretty ladies & the whole thing at Skyfall. Especially the whole thing at Skyfall. That's it. I have no complaints. I was thoroughly entertained and did not feel like I'd been sitting there for 2.5 hours.
It's somehow easier to see when it's smaller, maybe because I'm less scared it's gonna be a surprise .gif and scare me by blinking. Cool sentence.
So I'm a fun. apologist, because of The Format and the first fun. album and because the singer inexplicably reminds me of my aunt. I think they are actually really sincere lyrically, and even though I agree that the autotune is excessive (I think any autotune is excessive) I still find myself trying to make my voice sound like a robot when I sing along to their songs. And when you see them live and they play "One Foot" it's just a great time. But I can see why people would have a problem with them. I don't watch SNL/late night shows so I have never seen them perform on TV but I imagine it could be a difficult translation from album/live to tv shows.
While we're talking about cute men doing cute things, here is some Ryan Gosling news for you: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/31/ryan-gosling-texas-school-for-deaf-austin_n_2049086.html Apparently Fassy showed up as well.
Squeeeeeee! When Ben got down on one knee, I clapped my hands over my open mouth and didn't breathe and criiiiied. Perfect. I don't even know what else happened on that show because that was so perfect and amazing.
I have all the eps (thanks to the dropbox)--I can send 'em your way tonight!
I only made it to the first commercial break in Elementary. I wanted to like it but I just can't bring myself to care, especially after a friend clued me in on how terrible CBS was in creating it.
That cartoon character looks just like Amber Benson.
YES out of character! I couldn't believe that happened. I mean I guess there was no real chance for redemption, but I was very surprised by that.
Little snarky there, Benny. "Fancy house, expensive clothes." I would watch JLM read the phonebook, so maybe I'm not the most impartial judge, but it seems to me that other than both being modern the shows are completely different. Sherlock is 3 nearly-movie-length episodes every couple years. Hopefully Elementary will be, what, 43-minute episodes every week for a full season (or more)? I think they're trying to do very different things. That said, I doubt they would have done Elementary if it weren't for the success of Sherlock. I just don't see why we can't be happy about all the interpretations, especially when we haven't even seen Elementary yet.
I think this is the best Petting Zoo yet. Something for everyone. Laughs, tears (was that just me, with the baby flamingo), d'awwwws. Great job.
I think he's actually so uncool he's cool. He just doesn't even care. And I like that.
So I started a compost bucket a couple months ago, and man it stank to high heaven so I would throw in shredded newspaper to combat the smell, and my house is so hot so nothing helped, and I eventually just stopped adding anything to the bin. For like 6 weeks. So I should probably just throw away this pretty ceramic bucket, right, because it's going to be disgusting to empty/clean/whatever? And either start over or just realize that I am not a composter? For the record, I couldn't even watch this video because I hate rotting things.
Ha oops that's a Hairpinner's wedding ring. Maybe this: http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m80ca1ECvS1rr2pmvo1_400.gif
I never really realized how weird elephants are until today. But I liked their videos! I'm bummed for anyone who hasn't seen the goat video because it is so great but here's a gif from it http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5456/7408279346_c481abc1e0.jpg
I like to think it's George Michael Bluth.
So I love sharks, who doesn't except for a lot of people I guess, but when I look at shark pictures or videos I have to pick my feet up off the floor because what if there's one swimming around in the carpet. I even rolled away in my desk chair because I didn't wanna be too close to the screen if he attacked.
Ahhh the evil FB connect. I was just trying to win a movie prize pack.
The last one makes up for the other 4.
Also the fear here is not the bear, it's the water, right?
My reaction pre-video was a whispered "Ahhhhh! Oh my goddddd! Ahhhh!" for like two minutes straight. This is seriously one of my biggest fears at aquariums. The one in Baltimore has this terrifying ramp that circles down, down, down and it's so dark and there are sharks everywhere and oh my god what if it broke?! You'd be so dead! I went last fall, right when they opened for the day, and it was super creepy being nearly alone in an aquarium. I have chills right now.
That's what you get, dumbos. #theapparition
I do not know how to live life and therefore had not seen the first one but these were just a delight!

I was also really torn about who to root for in the Daisy-William thing, because everyone is pushing her to love him and dammit sometimes you just can't love someone no matter how much you should. BUT he just wants to take care of her! But she's just trying to do the right thing! But but but!
Hey at least that holds up the "sanctity of marriage" argument.
Birdsong? I liked it. Fairly scandalous. I got super into him after Pillars of the Earth.
I feel like P&R isn't as laugh-out-loud funny as it used to be, but it's still my favorite. I actually applauded for Leslie. I thought April and Andy were hilarious, posturing as rich people. Ron is still the best.

Moriarty's line "Honey, you should see me in a crown" is perfection, though--best delivery. I had to keep rewinding that moment.
Talk to me when you make more than 3 episodes a series, Ben. Quantity over quality!
I try to be respectful of cultural differences but I cannot stop laughing at the taxi driver named Wong Wei.
Yeah I had to stop watching because I felt so bad for him. Jerk parents!
Congratulations! You are beautiful!
That baby looks just like Wallace Shawn.
If you're near a library, mine had it pretty much immediately after it came out on DVD!
I just kind of laughed in disbelief at every comment. I did like the one about letting nature take its course. But with all those dreamy pictures, I don't believe Ned Hepburn was convinced.
With your brother and your friends who are also siblings, and it's The Lion King, and you sit in the front row and spill your giant tub of popcorn on the floor right at the beginning and you're in hysterics the whole rest of the movie and Mufasa's death therefore is not moving because you can't stop laughing. Later you'll go to your friends' house and play poker and keep laughing about nothing (literally, the words "cup" and "dollar bill" will set you off and it will be a running joke even 17 years later at your friend's wedding). Actually that's probably the best way to watch a movie. How about Armageddon with your extended family, where you're sitting by your dad and you just sob and sob and sob when Bruce Willis sacrifices himself for Ben Affleck and it's super embarrassing? That was a bad way to watch a movie.
