My big brother gave me this album as gift in 94. I was a freshman in high school and was creating my own musical identity. Loved it. You might have to go back to the Beatles or Beach Boys to find a rock masterpiece this accessible. You could give this album to a four year old and they would love. Will certainly be revisiting this one this weekend

Went to Moogfest in Asheville, NC this past weekend. Saw Keith Emerson, Bernie Worell, and Chic. Also saw Sasha, Green Velvet, M.I.A., Egyptian Lovers, Mixmaster Mike , Kraftwerk and Darkstar among others. Awesome festival. There is certainly room for both computer based and instrument based music.

I'm a big fan of Common One. It's like In a Silent Way with lyrics.

He did drop MBDTF after all the drama of the Taylor Swift mess. Maybe all this new media attention will push him to make another masterpiece. He is easily the most interesting and exciting pop artist right now but I fear the whole Kim/fashion thing will cause the music to suffer.

I used to be an Abbey Road/White album guy but over the years I have changed over to more of a Rubber Soul/Revolver guy. Aside from 'A Day in the Life' I don't think Sgt. Peppers has aged incredibly well and in my not so humble opinion is the weakest of their canonical albums.

A guest spot on the Simpson used to be thing a pride for a band so this is cool for MMJ I guess. I am more concerned with their musical output. After seeing them perform perhaps the best rock show I have seen this decade in 2007 and having one of the best run of albums this decade ( At Dawn>It Still Moves>Z) by any band they released' Evil Urges' album which is an album so bad I almost turn in my fan card. Jim James seriously needs to get his mojo back. Yim Yames WTF is that? Has he jumped the shark?

This is possibly the best soundtrack since Garden State. 'Hearing Damage' is amazing. From a business perspective a spot on a Twilight soundtrack is about as close to a sure thing as there is. There is guaranteed exposure and its almost certain this thing will move a good number of units. A couple of these tracks could even be chart topping. But I am sure all of these artist would rather go back to playing clubs and sleeping in fans.

Take out the two Dylan and Robert Plant albums in the top 10 ( which are pretty good but not top 10 worthy) put In Rainbows in the top 10 and I am honestly pretty happy with this list. At the end of this decade I am finding myself enjoying both In Rainbows and A Ghost is Born much more than the artists critically appointed masterpieces ( Kid A and Yankee Hotel). I did like Jack White a little more when he was more of a scrappy garage rock guy than his current incarnation of a modern day "guitar god" but its hard to deny how good peak era White Stripes is.

wish Jack White would get start focusing 100% again on the Stripes. I really miss the White Blood Cells/Elephant era before he was a "rock god"

Good song. Reminds me of Desire-era Dylan.

Seeing them in Raleigh. Will be my third time seeing them. Probably wouldn't have gotten tickets but my wife has never seen them and has wanted to for years. If you can check your cynicism at the door U2 is one of the best live shows you will ever see. Also excited to see Muse open for them....hopefully it won't be a toned down Muse set.

Like this one a lot better than 'Waiting For My Man'. Interested to see what they do with 'Venus in Furs'. Kind of sad this is the first time since like 2005 I have been remotely interested in anything Beck related. I used to worship him in the 90's and early 00's.
