Wooo weekend! Booo no more Breaking Bad!
But who cares.

In my Breaking Bad withdrawal, I've been finally catching up with The Good Wife. I saw the first two seasons a while ago, but right now I'm towards the end of the third season, and it's really really good, and the guest stars they get for each episode are fantastic.
If we had five more episodes (like, instead of splitting up the final season into two eight episode parts, it was two seasons), I would have loved the "Saul and Walt Road Trip To Anonymity Comedy Hour."
I was thinking about 20 minutes/midway through episode, "well, this can't get emotionally worse for me," and the second I thought that, Walt Jr. shows up, and I immediately went, "fuck me." It's astonishing that Hank's death is maybe the fourth or fifth worst thing that happened in that episode.
Woo, Monster's Ball! Everyone have a great weekend! Here's some Janelle Monae to play/dance us out.

"Sublight pizza. Heeeeeeey."
I liked that Modern Family only got half of the Best Supporting Actor nominations (if I recall correctly, three years ago, only one spot was non-Modern Family, then last year was two, and now three, so, hey, progress), but yeah, it's crazy how off the Emmys constantly get the Comedy side wrong. Well, that and Tatiana Maslany this year. Anyway, another year, another time I get to post this:

Lane's finest hour. Jared Harris has three of his finest line readings ("called my wife with the GOry details"; "Because he was caught with chewing gum on his pubis!"; "and you're a grimy little pimp") all within the span of maybe fifteen seconds. RIP Lane.

I think "Last Male Role Model" is what I felt, although what I'd describe it as is "Tough Uncle With A Heart Of Gold." RIP
Loved Michael Shannon in this movie. Kept waiting for him to yell, "Over 9000!" because Dragonball Z's Superman reference base has now come full circle.
I think it has to do with the erroneous thought in the industry that drama is inherently artistically better than comedy when it's just inherently different. On the whole, I'm just confused that LOST is deemed better than both Battlestar Galactica and Buffy.
I agree with most of this, except I really like Elizabeth and hope she gets further developed next season. But yeah, watching this, I knew what would happen, but I still had a lot of fun with these characters, and just a highlight for every character. It was a nice hug goodbye for the summer. The end of the first season did the same thing with Nick moving out. You're watching the show thinking, "There's no way in hell he's moving out," but it still had some very nice moments. A really good episode of a now great television show.
Season 3 needs to be the year of Winston and Daisy.
Huge fan of Elizabeth because we're seeing how Schmidt came to be, and she's one of the few if only people on the show that doesn't only call him on his bullshit but also refuse to put up with it. Conversely, CeCe is more of an enabler. #TeamElizabeth #AlsoTeamFindSomethingForCeCeToDoThatIsn'tSchmidt
