now that Lindsay is gone, who will post Gabe's Manstyle videos? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlrfujEp_X4 man style forever ))<>((
In a self-sacrificial act, Gabe has subscribed to the the YouTube channel, I noticed. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man subscribe to GOOP for his readers.
When Videogum has the NYC Prep recaps, I just immediately scroll through and stop at any paragraph with the letters "PC." Luckily he makes it easy for me with his two-capital-letter name.
has anyone ever tried to read the wikipedia articles for these movies? Impenetrable.
Somehow I never, ever tire of the jokes about Gabe's age. Especially when they mention his divorce. But then I'm also in the Hugh-Jackman-Pee-Joke Apologists camp.
The Wicker Man - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6i2WRreARo
"E.T. Twitter home"
"Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi; you're a very viable option and definitely my first choice."
"Bum bum dum bum buuuum, budubum bum" - your future husband's proposal
Guys, let's just stop it. Let's stop expecting them all to go pop. That's classic Us!
It's interesting to compare this situation with Real World Chet. Chet was sort of endearing in a way, and you wanted him to come out, come to terms, find a nice guy, etc. PC on the other hand is awful and you almost want him to be outed as some kind of punishment.
It doesn't even exactly make metaphor-grammar sense either, right? "Stripping while alive" - the lady is doing the stripping herself in the metaphor, while in reality the fisher is doing the stripping to the fish? It would suggest that in the metaphor the lady should wait until she is dead to take off her clothes? i mean, on top of the whole what-the-Jesus-fucking-Christ problem of the ad.
ugh YES that line shone out as the Annoyingist of Annoyings. I'm so glad Gabe brought this video up.
aaand Lindsay's Twitter explodes with followers. Lindsay, help us say goodbye. we'll miss you. may your LIFE be tagged as fantastically at this blog post (what?).
agreed! I for one welcome the new inhibition-free Lindsay. Please start your own blog.
her last revenge!
i love LindsayUnleashed. What other now-unpunishable videos does she have in store?
on Lindsay's blog tombstone: Lindsay Robertson [whenever Vgum started] - 2009 "fun, weird, creepy, cute" i feel like we are all signing Lindsay's yearbook.
wow, that multiplying-bunny-jpegs sequence at :29? Home run, Channel 13 Graphics Department.
ebert's site was down momentarily when I was looking. what's all this about google?
But no, didn't Ebert write a really positive review of the first Transformers? I can't find it at the moment but I remember being just crushed by his approval of it.
do we all downvote this comment as a memorial/sign of grieving? (no offense ,the dude.)
You'd think the super-huge ears would actually cause them to be less cool, because, you know, increased probability of us cuddling with them.
Check out that sweet MS-Word-style Word Art at the end, too! Italics, red drop shadow? Classic.
Gabe's revolving door death is just barely ridiculous in this context.
I like this comment coupled with your avatar. Liz Lemon is not convinced!
Kathy Griffin and Suze Orman? Only with the addition of a firefighter in briefs could CNN wink at us any harder about Anderson being gay.
so weak. I think a key element missing is the choreography, right? Their planning was, "okay, I'll start the music, then everyone run up and start dancing!" As opposed to the carefully synchronized movements of the Sound of Music performers. There's value in that preparation.
Cops, Tazers, Wizards* whatever.
the tag sequence of "Cops, Wizards, Tazers" - did we ever think we'd arrive here?
i keep trying to fastforward to the part where they are being fed or wrestling or playing cribbage or whatever. damn you youtube-conditioning.
is this "animal" actually CGI?
i love the fun, wobbly word-art of "wages of sin = death"
are these Acer brand product placements? it seems like a pretty obscure, low-end computer brand for a R&B video.
He is in some commercials - one for a McDonald's snack wrap, I think, and one cell phone commercial where his butt-pressing-on-cell-phone calls his girlfriend. ugh this has thrown stark daylight on what fills my brain.
better than a lot of feature films i've seen lately. and maybe a great concept for a video game?
