The Band was mostly a canadian band, Levon was the only American I think.
When they called the riot grrrl comparison lazy I was thinking the same thing but the album’s influence goes beyond just the name. The comparison may be lazy but it’s influence is loud and obvious.
1 Wake Up
2 My Body Is A Cage
3 Sprawl 2
The rest of the 10 in no order: We Used to Wait
Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)
Ready to Start
I agree. I can’t believe anybody who has seen Arcade Fire live would have “Wake Up” all the way down at number 6.
Talking Heads reunion
The triangle just puts it over the top, this is pretty blatant.
Swan Dive, Dixie Cups and Jars, and Misery Over Dispute are my favorites but the whole album is awesome. Anyone who is a fan of Waxahatchee should check out Hop Along and Torres, both released great albums in the last year.
I was hoping you’d do this Phoenix’s Bankrupt first but I did enjoy this album.
“When Winter’s Over” by Torres just because you guys have ignored that whole album and it rocks.
