I'm telling you, ELECTRIC SIX. They will rock all the hipsters socks right off. We need more non pretentious comedy dance rock...im sick of all the conceited boys in skinny jeans playing music that sounds the SAME as all the other shit out there.
Good LORD this is crap. Just crap. He always WAS crap. His songs aren't even catchy....honestly I'd rather listen to a fucking Justin Bieber song that this arrogant assholes music.
scandaloustouch, i REALLY disagree with you but I can't get mad because you have Heidecker as your avatar, and that man is a comedic God. Electric Six isn't awful though...people just don't look beyond their two singles. If you took the time to listen to their serious, WITTY songs that they now release you'd understand why they're great.
How about you guys hype up some GOOD music for a change? Is it just me or are music publications either writing about giant, terrible pop stars like Drake that are supposed to have talent or incredibly obscure, mediocre indie bands that won't matter in 5 years like this band? How about you people start writing about an EXCELLENT band known as Electric Six, the Detroit rockers that have been busting their asses making great, fun disco rock for over a decade. They have a new album coming out called Zodiac, look into it because it will be better than ANYTHING you write about on this site.
Does anybody else think these guys are a little too indulgent and pretentious? It was interesting and different for a while but I don't think they deserve as much press and acclaim as they do. Aside from Merriweather their music can be VERY hard to listen to.
This album is superb and with definitely stand the test of time. People may be divided over it as of now but in the long run it will be a classic...mark my words.
