awesome list, though it reminds me of how much I still need to hear…I was surprised to see Black Cascade so low, its definitely in my top 5, along with Cobalt, Drudkh, Sunn O))), and Amesouers…still listening to the new Krallice and Ruins of Beverast albums and having some trouble really getting into them, though time may give some new appreciation…if only the production from the new Ruins could be transposed to “Rain Upon the Impure”, what could have been…anyway, once again, glad to see the column still going strong!
oh man, lots of new info to get excited about here…new ruins of beverast? new nightbringer, wold, and twilight? even a new burzum! that one should be interesting…old varg’s post about it certainly is. thanks for keeping us in the loop Brandon!
like others have mentiones, extremely excited about news concerning new high on fire, nachtmystium, and agalloch. and yes, the fox news clip was too funny, though mcsorley came off fine I think. coming around on that new ruins of beverast too; that’s definitely a record that tales a couple of listens to fully appreciate, though i’m still glad von meilenwald got himself some better production this time around.
