Can we all agree that while Gabe is right about most things, he is wrong about The Life Aquatic, because that is by far the best of wes anderson’s work. I can agree that it is maybe the most indulgent of his films, but also the one that is the most moving. It has the best Bill Murray character, second to his role in Rushmore, it has the saddest death scene, it has the best soundtrack, and really killer lines. Also Jeff Goldblum, William Dafoe, and Cate Blanchett. CASE DISMISSED.

From the ONE history of sexuality class I took, Im pretty sure that the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah was that the men from those cities tried to rape some angels disguised as men that were visiting.

April 2, 2012 on Are You Smarter Than A Bibleth Grader?

I’ve watched that segment at least 3 times in the past day. Maurice Sendak is pretty much the perfect guest to bounce off of Stephen Colbert’s character. How cute were they doodling and sniffing sharpies? Legends; both of them.

Why is everybody hating on Ed? He’s so funny and mean and would have been a fun reality villian if Lindsay and Sara werent doing such a great(terrible) job at being the worst. Of course, my true heart lies with Paul. Getting nervous even though you’re the best chef and you’ve won everything thus far? How Blaise of you. Love you Paul XOXOXOXOXO

WHOOOPS I meant Sara. But really, she’s already replaced heather as the next top chef villain.

team Paul till the end. how cute was he, all worried about taking a risk with an asian barbeque? I dont mind Ed really, he had every right to complain about heather’s absence even if it was technically not her fault (but still, she really did step in for a second, served the judges, and then sat back down cause she needed to ‘rest’). Both Chris’s should have gone home in my opinion. The idea of an ex-Fat (gay) chris painting nudes is really funny.

November 22, 2011 on The Matt Damon We DIDN’T Bought A Zoo Playlist

I am still angry at you Gabe for not posting recaps when you said (strongly implied) you would, but WHINING is for losers, and Kaplan, so lets get to IT.

Am I the only one who doesn’t hate Neanderthal Tim? I mean, yes hes super douchey but so is Rachel really and the whole “whats up with CRUNCH?” and “bye Cam” were hilarious. practically Gabe level zingers.

UGH Nancy. single worst character this season. I actually feel bad for YOSI. Crisp by Yosi, serpent wrapping around the letters, ed hardy lovin’ Yosi. I’m also really glad to see Ben punched in the face (back of the head) Stop being an idiot Ben, CAM is your one true love duhh.

That Renee Jamaican gay kidnapping standoff scene was pretty great. Especially the tension where you DIDNT know if Renee was gonna hug the Jamaican guy or if he was pissed for real. SUSPENSE.

Lastly, Gabe, Lulu is awful. Cam is the best. Now go catch up on season 1. You deserve it!

Happy Endings is AH-MAZING. Everybody on that show is fantastic, due to UCB/SNL roots. With that and Suburgatory, ABC is really stepping it up.

I’m pretty sure the scholarship story is real. 1) It’s named after his dead partner 2) it’s so Gus to start a scholarship looking for chemists that are so good that they could possible run his meth lab. Talk about vertical integration! 3) yeah, if it isn’t real, then why tell it to the DEA? its like the first thing they would check.

It also puts into perspective why Gus was so angry about dead Gale being shot in the face (BRINGS BACK SAD MEMORIES :( )

But seriously, just how great was that last scene. It so beautifully parallels the relationship between Walt and Jesse, Walt and Gus, Gus and Gale, and Walt and Gale tying all those characters together on this idea of partnership, brothers, hermanos.

God damn, such a good episode. Such a great season!

I would like to nominate Dogma, the Kevin Smith garbagepiece that made cringe for an hour and a half even though I have a huge girlboner for the Damon & Affleck bromance and Jason Lee is in it. 4 words: Alanis Morisette as God.

I didn’t LOVE Greenburg but it really wasnt all that bad either. But TALKING ABOUT #beingwhiteishard movies, can we please do Somewhere or Marie Antoinette, basically any Coppola film is fucking awful awful awful awful, I don’t care how good the soundtrack is. Watching her films is akin to Chinese waterboarding.
